FAQ

How do I prepare for a tattoo appointment?

It is important to get a good night's sleep, eat a full meal beforehand, and stay hydrated. Wear clean, comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the area being tattooed. Avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medication 24 hours before your appointment. Bring water, snacks, headphones or anything that will help you stay comfortable during your session.

Please keep your phone on you the day of your appointment, as sometimes I run early/late and will keep you updated on the day if I am running behind.

What is your minimum price/hourly rate?

My minimum rate is $150 (and then $150 per hour), no matter the size of the tattoo as every tattoo still requires the same prep, setup, equipment and design time.

What payments do you accept?

I accept card, cash or even after pay payments.

How much is a deposit and is it refundable? What if I need to reschedule?

Deposits are $100 and secure your booking.

-If you cancel or reschedule 48+ hours before your appointment, your deposit can be moved to your next tattoo or refunded.

-If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours, your deposit will be forfeited.

-This policy also applies to gift vouchers.

Can I use numbing cream?

Yes. I do not provide numbing cream as it is illegal for tattooists to provide. You may choose to use your own, but you are responsible for purchasing it and understanding the risks. Please let me know in advance if you plan to use it, and make sure apply it before your appointment time (typically 45-60 minutes prior).

Do you do tattoo cover-ups? Reworks or fix tattoos by other artists?

While I do tattoo cover-ups, it depends on the existing tattoo as to whether or not it is possible to cover. If I do not believe a full cover-up is possible, I may recommend laser removal to lighten the area first.

Yes, I can rework or improve a tattoo if your original artist is no longer available or approachable. Whether it can be reworked depends on the design and the condition of the existing tattoo. If you plan on getting a cover-up or rework, please send me a photo of your existing tattoo in the booking form.

Can I tan before and/or after getting a tattoo?

I do not recommend tanning before you r tattoo, and you should never tan while your tattoo is healing. Tanning during the healing process can contaminate the tattoo, slow healing and increase the risk of infection.

Should I re-bandage my tattoo while it's healing?

No, you should never re-bandage your tattoo while it's healing, as this increases the risk of infection, Your tattoo needs to breathe to heal properly. If you need it covered for protection, use a product like second skin instead. Discuss this with me if you are unsure.

I want a really small tattoo, can you do it really small?

I can do small tattoos, but there is a limit to how tiny a design can be while still healing well and lasting over time. Very fine details or tiny lettering may blur or fade quickly, so I may suggest a slightly larger size to ensure your tattoo stays clear and readable.

Please note: even very small tattoos are charged my $150 minimum as they require the same amount of prep, setup, equipment costs and design time.

How do I book a consultation with you?

I only offer in-person consultations for large, ongoing projects (like full sleeves), medical conditions, or cover-ups/reworks where I need to see you in person. All other booking and design correspondence is handled through my social media. My time in the studio is dedicated solely to tattooing.

Finger tattoos

While I do offer finer tattoos, please read this information carefully before booking.

Touch-ups will be charged ar my normal rate, as finger tattoos are especially prone to fading.

Finger tatoos fade and "drop out" quickly because of the skin's constant movement, friction and frequent washing. They're harder to protect, making them prone to patchiness, blowouts, and early fading. Even with good care, finger tattoos often need multiple touch-ups to stay looking fresh.

I am under 18 but I have parental consent. Can I still be tattooed?

It is illegal in the state of Victoria to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.

Every client is asked for ID at each appointment. If you are under 18, I will not tattoo you.

What if I am late to my appointment?

If you are more than 15 minutes late, I will not be able to tattoo you and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Please understand I need the full time booked- even for small tattoos- and being late affects the rest of my schedule.

Can I bring someone else to my appointment?

You are allowed to bring one person to your appointment. Please do not bring more than one person as my room is only small and it is unsafe to have multiple people in the room while I am tattooing.

Please note: You cannot bring anyone under the age of 18 as it is a tattoo studio.

Do you tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding women?

No. For health and safety reasons, I do not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
