Your tattoo needs air to heal properly, so please don’t leave it covered for longer than this and don’t re-cover it during healing.
With clean hands, wash your tattoo using warm water and a mild antibacterial soap. This helps remove any vaseline, blood or plasma and prevents heavy scabbing.
Avoid scrubbing — be gentle.
Rinse with cool water.
Use a clean paper towel or soft clean cloth to gently pat your tattoo dry.
Allow your tattoo to air dry for 5–10 minutes.
It may feel slightly tight which is normal.
Wear loose, breathable clothing during healing. Tight clothing can rub, stick, and irritate the tattoo.
Once dry, apply a tiny pea-size amount of aftercare cream using clean hands — just enough to give the skin a light shine.
Gently work it in and dab away any excess if needed.
Do not re-bandage.
Wash, dry, and lightly moisturise your tattoo 3–5 times a day for around 2 weeks.
You can apply a small amount of cream whenever the tattoo feels dry or tight — just avoid over-moisturising.
Use only fragrance-free products.
Healing time varies — smaller tattoos may heal quicker, larger ones may take longer.

Most tattoo aftercare can be bought at the chemist or supermarket. My Recommendations are
Original Bepanthen (my favourite)
Dr Pickles Tattoo Balm
Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment
Hustle Butter Tattoo Aftercare Cream
Tattoo Second Skin (various brands)
Bepanthen Tattoo Aftercare Ointment
To protect your tattoo while it heals, please avoid:
•Submerging it in water (no baths, pools, hot tubs, or ocean
• Long hot showers (keep them short and warm)
• Direct sun exposure
• Tight or restrictive clothing
• Picking, scratching, or peeling the skin
• Scrubbing the area
• Using fragranced products
• Re-bandaging the tattoo
Keep the area clean and always use clean hands when touching it.
Fresh sheets and clean clothing are recommended during healing.
You can tan before your tattoo. However, tanning isn’t recommended before your appointment and should definitely be avoided while your tattoo is healing.
You’re welcome to bring one support person along.
As the studio is a small private space, I can’t accommodate more than one guest — and no one under 18 is allowed.
No — your tattoo needs air and 'breathe' to heal properly.
Re-bandaging can increase irritation or infection risk. If you feel it needs protection, something breathable like second skin may be suitable.
